Many children at Purnata, including children of sex workers, grow up in environments marked by instability, stress, and limited access to educational resources. These circumstances can affect concentration, learning engagement, and the development of essential cognitive and motor skills.
How we responded.
To create a safe and engaging learning experience, we organized an art-based activity centered around coloring and creative expression. The session was designed to improve focus, strengthen fine motor skills, and provide a positive outlet for self-expression. To encourage continued learning beyond the event, each child received coloring sheets and crayons to use over the following month, along with a stationery kit and snack packs.
What it added up to.
- 30+ children engaged through structured creative learning activities
- 100+ colouring sheets and stationary kits distributed
- Encouraged creativity, focus, and self-expression through hands-on learning
